How to import a car from China to Nigeria

Why landed cost matters

The sticker price is only part of the story. Landed cost includes sea freight (RORO), port and customs duty, clearing, local delivery, demurrage reserve, and the platform service fee — all configurable server-side via cost_config, never guessed in the browser.

Deposits and Paystack

After you reserve a vehicle, you pay a deposit through Paystack (card, transfer, USSD). When the gateway confirms payment, your order is created and notifications begin. The balance is due before the car leaves China — with FX rules enforced as in the PRD.

Arrival at Apapa and clearance

Tracking stages cover vessel loading, transit, arrival at Apapa, customs clearance, storage, and handoff. Clearing agents and freight partners use role-gated portals in later phases; events are append-only for auditability.
